When we calculate the time and manhours involved in stripping down an engine removing the crankshaft, sending it to a machine shop for regrinding, and then the re-installation of the crankshaft and rebuilding the engine and then add the length of time the unit is out of service or the vessel is off charter, it all adds up to a vast amount of money.
